The Northern New England Intercity Rail Initiative provides the most detailed and advanced study of potential station sites in Palmer. The Palmer Station Analysis is in the Alternative Analysis Report, pages 234-241 (PDF shared via Dropbox).

Amtrak trains traveling between Boston and New Haven, and between Boston and Albany, will stop at the new passenger rail station in Palmer. The Amtrak Station Planning and Development Guidelines are the primary source for what is needed to meet Amtrak’s station requirements.
